Kathmandu: The Ncell Foundation has announced a unique initiative to support education in rural and remote areas of Nepal. For every four runs scored during the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL), the foundation will donate educational materials to students of community schools in underprivileged regions.

"Cricket unites everyone. Through this initiative, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of students in rural and remote areas," said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Head of Corporate Communication and CSR at Ncell.

The distribution of these educational materials will be coordinated with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), local government bodies, and other stakeholders.

Ncell and Siddharth Bank have partnered with CAN as the official "Powered By" sponsors of the NPL. This collaboration highlights efforts to combine cricket with meaningful community support.

Meanwhile, Chitwan Rhinos, one of the eight franchise teams competing in the NPL, has announced free bus services for its fans traveling from Chitwan to Kathmandu on match days. Five buses will operate between Chitwan Medical College and Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, for ticket holders.

The Rhinos are set to face Kathmandu Gurkhas in their first match on December 2.
